Great picture bringing back many memories! Wilfred Foulger was my father and that Red Diamond was his 'Logo'.If you are, or know the owner PLEASE get in touch. This lorry has been so well restored.
Hi Elizabeth, I'm pretty sure that the truck in the picture is now owned by a chap called Bernie Bailey, who I seem to remember had a small haulage company based in mid Norfolk, possibly round the Attleborough or Watton way, so if you still live in Norfolk its not to far away.I dont know if Bernie is still trading but if you still have contact with the Foulger office I'm sure someone in there will have heard of him.Hope this is of help to you and please let us know through the site how you get on Regards Andy
Hi Andy. Thanks so much for your info which is correct.I've spoken to Bernie's son and will speak to Bernie tonight. Having searched at length online I discover it within 15 mile radius and that my brother knew all about it! So much for communication between families! Many thanks again, Elizabeth Spin
Paul, if you contact Bernard Bailey who restored the vehicle so well I think he can tell you the original owner.I'm reluctant to give personal details online, but if you email me your number I can ask Bernard's permission to disclose his tel.no.or ask him to ring you.
Editor: please note that if you click on a name in blue you can email that person
Bernard is now having built the 'cattle float' that would have been lowered onto the flatbed when needed - a laborious process with chains and pulleys from a gantry!
