This Mercedes Benz 1518 model was also locally assembled with a cab from Brazil.The tractor is towing a mobile generator. The generator is providing power to the neighbourhood when the local Sub Station is under going maintenance.

Are all the "square headlight" Mercedes in Malaysia using Brazilian cabs or are they sourced elsewhere (e.g. India) too?

For a few years the local assembler sourced CKD parts from Brazil when the financial crisis made the german currency expensive and it was cheaper to source from brazil.

The models were launched during the recession in the mid 80's and discontinued after Mercedes Benz took over the operations during the financial crisis of 1997 - 1998. The TNB truck was registered in 1994.
