I hope that this beauty can be seen running once restored. I'm a fan of British lorries and this cockpit Ergomatic maarcó with a before and after in the design. I'm from Uruguay and here we had many, mostly Leyland (the newest of 70) and can still see some working. Greetings from Montevideo - Uruguay.
Hello Carlos. I think this one has gone the way of most as it has now gone from this location. When I took this photo the cab floor was in a very bad state of decay and, with windows missing, all the rain will get in and make it worse.
Carlos haven't you got a warship that needs restoring near you :-) ? More's the pity a lot of old AEC's and Leylands tend to end up in the same condition. Parts for the cab are becoming rare, so people tend not to bother. All the best, Andrew.
Estimado Andrew. Carlos.

Carlos, I wonder a couple of years ago, when the price of scrap metal in the UK was high how many vehicles like you mentioned, ripe for restoration, went to the scrap man. Have you any pictures? Andrew.
Hi tractor paul, been searching for ages to see where my old AEC went. I used to drive this truck in 1986 and must say I've just dropped on this photo. Am really sad to see it in such a state, being one of the last made I was sure it would have been restored. Do you know the farm name? Would love to see it again cheers.
Greetings from Montevideo - Uruguay.
